Contextual learning is a concept to connect materials and their function in daily life. The obstacle implement contextual the of that involves potential local resources. Guava leaf one resources has many benefits also contains tannins, which have as an ingredient corrosion inhibitor base. This study aims analyze core competence, basic competency indicator material, results making guava extract for learning, leaves natural inhibitor. employs descriptive qualitative research, methods used include literature study, observation, experimentation, interviews. this show relationship between experiment identification factors can prevent corrosion, explanation ideas comparisons fast slow process, rate analysis. was carried out by modifying tools, materials, work. Maceration method using 70% ethanol solvent. Corrosion showed increasing concentration then lowers value obtained. In highest occurred on iron with 0% 0,00175 g/cm2.days, while lowest 20% concentration, 0,00025 g/cm2.day. Based analysis, inhibitors be simple alternative school.
